Thomas Talks About LGBTQ: Sex - Love - Relationships - Health


Thomas is an early 30's gay male living in New York City and pursuing a PhD. in Health Psychology and Clinical Science. His research area is human sexual behavior with a focus on pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), the psychological and behavioral outcome of different types and frequencies of pornography consumption, and  LGBTQ health. In the future, he plans to work in education (either teaching or research), along with having a private practice (therapy/counseling).

Thomas currently works as a therapist with a variety of populations including both straight and LGBTQ youth and adults. The majority of these populations are in treatment for issues pertaining to sex, substance use, medication adherence, anxiety, and depression.

Additionally, Thomas teaches The Psychology of Human Sexuality at Hunter College in New York City and is a graduate research assistant at the Center for HIV Educational Studies and Training.
